Nikon International Photo Contest. A Student Review Committee will select finalists and a Faculty Review Committee will choose contest winners from among the finalists. Students also have the opportunity to serve on the Student Review Committee that meets to discuss the submissions and nominate the finalists. Students do not need to be enrolled in a human rights program to serve on the committee. Freedom of speech, LGBT rights, human rights. Contest winners, along with other selected participants, are invited to present their papers during the human rights student colloquium. They may be critical analyses, theoretical examinations, or research papers, as long as they address issues, ideas, and questions relating to human rights. All students currently enrolled in a Columbia University degree program are eligible to apply. Winners of the ISHR Human Rights Essay Contest will present their papers and discuss their human rights research with other students and faculty members. Cash prizes will be awarded to two graduate students and two undergraduate students currently enrolled at Columbia University. The Human Rights Essay Contest and Colloquium aim to encourage and acknowledge students who have written exceptional academic papers that address issues related to human rights. The essay should be uploaded to the Human Rights LL.
Essay contents provide students with opportunities to display the exceptional legal research, analysis, and composition skills honed here at the University of Richmond School of Law. Any appearance of your name on the uploaded document may result in your disqualification from the contest.
